  • This website gives access to over 100 free ebook/digital picture books with the audio so kids can see and hear the book with or without an adult's help. Its a great resource to reach out to the communities, help provide more books in the home, and further the important business of fostering avid readers. For our students without internet access at home it gives them a site to access at the public library after school hours. Unite for literacy cites research from 2010 tells us that "one of the most powerful ways to lift children out of poverty through education is strikingly simple: Get 500 books in the home of a child between the ages of 0–5."
